Biostimulator Injections

Build collagen with biostimulator injectables

Collagen and elastin are the main fibers that form the extracellular matrix. Both are formed by fibroblasts. Collagen is responsible for tensile strength and elastin provides elasticity to the skin. Production and density of both decreases as a function of age, and results in sagging and wrinkling.

Types of Biostimulators

Hyperdilute Radiesse

Radiesse Hyperdilute

Hyperdiluted Radiesse could be your new best friend if you unwanted wrinkles, undesirable fine lines, worrisome skin laxity, problematic thinning skin, or jarring necklines. These particular may qualify you to be a candidate for a skin rejuvenation treatment using Hyperdiluted Radiesse.

Radiesse Hyper-dilute is the only FDA approved CaHA that provides stimulation of collagen type 1, type 3, and elastin production.

CaHA is comprised of phosphate and calcium, which occur naturally in the human body. When CaHA microspheres are injected superficially, they trigger the body to produce new collagen and after the spheres dissolve, they continue to work by stimulating new collagen growth.

Sculptra

The loss of collagen is one of the primary visual signs of aging. Sculptra® is different from hyaluronic acid fillers in that it stimulates the body to produce new collagen and underlying tissue to fill in lines and wrinkles and elevate loose skin. New collagen is responsible for skin’s firmness, plumpness, and smoothness. The results of Sculptra® injections are a fuller, more youthful look. Sculptra® is used as an anti-aging treatment similar to filler or fat injections, but while those are putting foreign products into the skin, Sculptra® stimulates the body’s own natural collagen production and gradually restore volume to the area.

Sculptra® is composed of poly-L-lactic acid which is safe and easily broken down within the body. The injected Sculptra® is absorbed by the body in 2 years but the collagen it stimulates lasts 2 years or more. We love how It creates a natural and more youthful look. Plus, it’s also a great treatment for reducing the appearance of cellulite!

Why do I need to continually promote collagen?

Unfortunately, sun damage, the years ticking by, and other environmental factors breakdown precious collagen and elastin.

These two important mechanisms help keep facial lines and wrinkles at bay. Collagen and elastin both contribute to the skin’s strength and elasticity.

Type 1 collagen loss begins in our late 20s and by our 50s, we’ve lost roughly half of our Type 1 collagen, coupled with environment factors and the sun. Collagen and elastin need stimulated on a regular basis to keep facial skin youthful. With out these two components we lose our youthful appearance.

Once CaHA is injected into the targeted area, the stimulation of new collagen occurs, resulting in gradual yet drastic improvements to one’s skin look and feel as early as four weeks after the treatment has been done. In reaching the goal of a much smoother, plumped, more elastic, and firmer skin, a series of Radiesse Hyper-dilute treatments – three (3) in total, equally spaced a month apart from one another. Patients can maintain and enjoy their improvements through periodic maintenance treatments done yearly or so, all depending on their body’s unique response to the Radiesse Hyper -Dilute treatment.

When Radiesse Hyperdilute is injected in the tissue, it creates healthy type 1 collagen by up to 30 percent more. It also promotes the development of elastin, increases blood supply and improves cell turnover. We have also seen in biopsies that the fibroblasts contract better when Calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) is present.
