Ultherapy

Lift & Tighten those trouble spots
Ultherapy Aesthetics

A body of aesthetic physicians recently designated Ultherapy® a key foundation of aesthetic treatments and the Gold Standard for nonsurgical lifting and skin tightening, as published in the Journal of Drugs in Dermatology.

Ultherapy uses microfocused ultrasound with visualization to non-invasively treat the same deep tissue planes as a modern facelift. Similar to a magnifying glass focusing sunlight, ultrasound energy precisely targets dermal and sub-dermal tissues. Ultherapy bypasses the surface of the skin through ultrasound energy with focused imaging—to target just the right amount at the right depths and the right temperature. The heat is generated only at the treatment site; intervening tissues and the skin’s surface are unaffected. Target tissue is heated to approximately 65°C, triggering immediate collagen denaturation and collagen synthesis. As part of body’s wound healing response, long-term collagen remodeling delivers a gradual, natural-looking lift. Results can last a year or more.

Ultherapy® essentially jump-starts your body’s own process to create fresh, new collagen. As a natural protein, collagen works to give skin its youthfulness by keeping it firm and toned. As we age, collagen breaks down, and the result is a loss of skin strength and elasticity.

The proven results of Ultherapy are clear, appearing over two to three months as new collagen works to lift skin on the neck, chin, and brow—as well as smooth skin on the upper chest. Results may improve over the following three to six months, and can last a year or more. It won’t duplicate the results of a surgical facelift, but Ultherapy is a clinically proven non-invasive alternative for those not ready for surgery.

Frequently Asked Questions

Ultherapy is FDA approved to tighten skin and it’s safe to treat around the eyes, cheeks, mouth, jawline, and neck. Anyone who’s noticing less elasticity or sagging of their face should consider Ultherapy, it is safe, and effective. You should not get Ultherapy if you are pregnant, have health concerns, or have skin with major sun damage.
The procedure time varies depending on the treatment area. During the treatment the medical provider will use the Ultherapy ultrasound device to emit energy directly into the deep layers of the skin that need increased collagen. While some patients have reported mild discomfort it is not thought to be painful and Nitrous oxide can be used to create a completely pain-free experience. Post-treatment some experience mild tenderness and some redness, however, it generally dissipates within an hour. Treatment session needed depend on the severity of laxity in the skin.

The incredible aspect of Ultherapy is that it builds over time. The initial treatment will have some effects, but the real results won’t be seen until 2-3 months post-treatment. The benefits of the procedure such as increased collagen continue to grow within the body for up to 6 months after the procedure.

As we continue to age, you’ll need to come back in for Ultherapy every year or so to maintain the tight beautiful youthful skin you get from the treatment. So many clients love Ultherapy because it gradually improves and creates tighter, more youthful-looking skin with less sagging. It’s perfect for men and women who don’t want an obvious or dramatic change all at once or are hesitant about getting surgery such as a facelift but who want to see tighter skin on their faces, necks, and chests.
