Eyebrow tinting is a semi-permanent beauty procedure where dye is painted onto the eyebrows making them darker, so the brows appear fuller and thicker.
Tinting gives a professional beauty expert the chance to increase the shape of your brows and darken the finer hairs. This amplifies the shape of the brow’s arch creating more definition and giving the face an overall more angular and sleeker look. Tinting is painless, quick, and easy!
Those with blonde hair, and/or light brows make amazing candidates for tinting, however, anyone can do it! Tinting is great for clients looking to avoid using brow pencils, who have sparse or over-plucked brows, or those who want to spend less time getting ready in the morning.
Services treatment takes between 25-30 minutes and last for 4 weeks. Tinting will begin with a small “patch test” done on the client to ensure they won’t have an allergic reaction to the dye.
The area will then be cleaned, and the brows will be stenciled or mapped out in the client’s desired shape. Then the technician will apply a cream such as petroleum jelly around the brow to prevent the dye from staining the skin. The dye is then painted on from the inner corner of the brow through the arch and tail. The time the dye sits on the client depends on hair color, blonder clients will have a shorter process and darker-haired clients will be slightly longer.
For tinting processes, the dye will set in around 15 minutes, and then the technician will wipe the area and check their work.
Brow lamination originated in Eastern Europe and it’s quickly making its way west. You may have noticed pictures of full, slicked-up brows with a high-shine finish taking over your Instagram Explore page. Well, that’s brow lamination.
Brow lamination is a semi-permanent beauty procedure that “perms’” the eyebrow hair. A brow lamination focuses on creating a fuller look by flattening the hairs in place and perfecting their shape. No matter what your brow concern is gaps, thinning, overplucking, unruliness, brow lamination is an alternative to microblading.
Eyebrow lamination provides smooth brow similar to the look of microblading. The end result is a more “finished” look. Your brows won’t look messy or casual. They’ll be in place and ready to go right when you wake up in the morning.
While anyone can benefit from brow lamination, those with gaps, thinning, overplucking, unruliness brows, and even thick brows can benefit. This procedure is not recommended for those using certain topical medications, those with ultra-sensitive skin, rosacea, eczema, or a history of contact dermatitis as these conditions can cause the skin to react/peel.
The process will take around 30 minutes and is totally painless.
It is the first time we have been able to re-create a client’s brow without the need of needles or semi-permanent makeup. With brow lamination, you can raise a client’s arch, extend their tails, give them a fuller brow by lifting the brow hair or give them a messy, fluffy brow.
The process starts by a lifting cream being applied so that your eyebrows maintain their new shape. Then, the brows are brushed upwards, and a neutralizer is placed to reform the new shape. In addition, nourishing oil is applied to replenish your eyebrows after the treatment. Lastly, a setting lotion helps the brow hair stay lifted and upwards for approximately 4-6 weeks depending on home care.
After the procedure, you’ll need to avoid getting the brows wet for 24 hours, avoid direct sunlight, and steam or sweat for 48 hours. As much as possible, leave your brows alone and don’t touch or rub the area for at least 24-48 hours. It is necessary to condition and nourish the brows after the 48 hours with an oil and moisturizing cream in the same way we do so with our hair after chemically treating it is essential.
Patients have described the sensation of receiving skin laser therapy as a quick rubber-band snap, resulting in mild discomfort. The procedure is rather quick. You may experience some redness that should resolve within a few hours.
Each patient is given a customized treatment plan. It’s typical to schedule successive treatments approximately four weeks apart. First time patient’s begin treatments in the autumn and have 4 – 6 treatments before end of March. By the time summer holiday season rolls around, they look marvelous. Scientific evidence demonstrates regular maintenance treatments, typically 1 per quarter for maintenance. Using BBL functionally rejuvenates skin and delays skin aging.
In most cases, you can apply makeup immediately, so there is typically no downtime. In some cases, darkened lesions may progress to scabs or crusting, and will start flaking off in 3-7 days. The lesion is usually healed in 7-10 days and will continue to fade over the next 2-4 weeks. Do not pick, scratch, or remove scabs or crusting.
Let us reiterate: BBL is NOT a one-and-done treatment. For real results, you need to start with a package of 4 BBL treatments and maintain your results by getting BBL at least 2 – 4 times per year from one of our expert providers.
The reason one BBL treatment is never enough, over time our skin accumulates pigment from the sun, hormones, environmental factors, scarring etc. so it takes a few sessions to address the layers of accumulated pigment.
