GUMMY SMILE

Many men and women have what is called excessive gingival display, also known as a “gummy smile”. This is a smile that shows an excessive amount of the gumline below the upper lip and can draw attention away from a person’s teeth and lips when they smile. This issue is unique, in that it is not caused by aging or sun damage and its appearance is not likely to change without some sort of cosmetic or orthodontic procedure.  A gummy smile can be a source of insecurity or embarrassment for some and can lead a person to hide his/her smile, but we offer something worth smiling about!
