Botox works by blocking the nerve signals that cause facial muscles to contract. Botox relaxes those muscles to smooth the look of wrinkles caused by repetitive facial movement (i.e., squinting, scowling, frowning). Lines are common between the eyebrows (frown lines), around the eyes (crows feet), and across the forehead.
When to Consider Botox
– Repetitive facial expressions cause stagnant lines –
– Fine lines and wrinkles are making you look worn out, stressed or upset –
– Facial asymmetry is present –
– You suffer from headaches, TMJ or excessive sweating –

Our experienced certified injectors will take the time to discuss your concerns and how we can effectively exceed your expectations. Once a plan has been established the provider uses a very fine needle to inject Botox® into the specific muscle that is causing the fine lines and wrinkles. The treatment takes less than 30 minutes and requires no downtime. We offer complimentary makeup touchup so you can get back to your day immediately.
The amount of Botox® is determined by our treatment provider based on their clinical judgment and Allergan, Inc. guidelines. We offer complimentary consultations to be able to give you a general estimate for optimal correction.
The injected muscles will have limited or no movement within 7 to 14 days, leaving your skin smoother and more youthful. The duration of the results vary depending on your activity level and metabolism, but the average is 3 to 4 months.
With any medical procedure there is a possibility of side effects. Botox® side effects are usually temporary and mild. All the possible side effects will be discussed during your consultation. The most common side effect is bruising. To limit your risk of bruising do the following: Discontinue the use of over the counter medications and vitamins that thin your blood 7 days prior to your appointment: Aspirin, Exedrin, Ibuprofen, St. John’ Wart, Omega 3 fatty acids, vitamin E, ginko bilboa, ginseng, etc. Stop drinking alcohol 1-2 days prior to your injections. Please stay on any medication that your primary doctor has prescribed or recommended. If you need to take a pain medication, you may take Tylenol.
