Say No to Incontinence

Over time as the aging process happens throughout our body, the pelvic floor is no different in the aging process, muscles start to weaken which leads to symptoms. Back pain, urinary incontinence, sexual dysfunction in men and women, fecal incontinence, and overall posture.

The pelvic floor is the base of the group of muscles referred to as your ‘core’. These muscles are located in your pelvis and stretch like a hammock from the pubic bone (at the front) to the coccyx or tailbone (at the back) and from side to side

The pelvic floor muscles work with your deep abdominal and deep back muscles and diaphragm to stabilize and support your spine. They also help control the pressure inside your abdomen to deal with the pushing down force when you lift or strain – such as during exercise.

Pelvic floor muscles support the bladder and bowel in men and the bladder, bowel, and uterus in women. They also help maintain bladder and bowel control and play an important role in sexual sensation and function.

Pelvic floor muscles can be strengthened by doing pelvic floor muscle exercises (also known as ‘Kegels’ or ‘Kegel exercises’).

How EMSELLA Works

Emsella utilizes High-Intensity Focused Electromagnetic (HIFEM) technology to stimulate deep pelvic floor muscles and restore neuromuscular control. A single Emsella session brings thousands of supramaximal pelvic floor muscle contractions, which are extremely important in muscle re-education of incontinent patients.

During each 28-minute session, you sit comfortably on the Emsella chair while it generates thousands of supramaximal pelvic floor muscle contractions. Each session is equivalent to doing 11000 pelvic floor exercises but without the hard work!

The procedure is non-invasive, and you remain fully clothed throughout. No drugs are required and the most you will feel is a slight tingling during the treatment. With no recovery time needed, you can leave immediately after each session and resume normal daily activity.

The majority of people need a course of six sessions over a period of three weeks to see optimum results, with most people seeing and feeling results after just two or three treatment sessions.
