Different kinds of fillers at Central Wellness
The first filler we offer is called Radiesse. Radiesse matches your body’s natural production of healthy collagen to give you a naturally beautiful appearance.
Next, we offer Voluma, which is commonly used as a cheek filler. Its effects are long-lasting. From only one treatment, sagging cheeks will experience volume for up to two years!
Juvederm is another popular filler that adds volume and smooths out cheeks. It’s also used as a lip filler to augment and enhance lips. Juvederm is the most popular filler, and effects last up to two years.

How does it work?
We use a natural sugar called hyaluronic acid for all dermal filler injections at Central Wellness. It emulates a natural sugar that our bodies produce. In fact, our bodies break down the filler as if it’s a naturally occurring sugar.
Dermal fillers are injected beneath the skin’s surface with a small needle to restore lost volume related to aging, add contour to your profile, and fill in wrinkles.

What is dermal filler before and after treatment like?
Dermal filler treatment is a non-surgical injection completed in one office visit. All injections are made with a sterile needle. The length of your appointment depends on how many areas of the face you’re getting treated. In most cases, multiple areas of the face can be treated in one appointment.
After you receive your dermal filler injections, you can go right back to your daily activities. We offer complimentary makeup touchups so you can get back to your day immediately.
Before treatment, we recommend taking a few easy steps to help prevent unwanted side effects. We’ll discuss these steps in the section below.
Are dermal fillers safe?
It is considered a safe treatment if you’re getting dermal fillers at a certified clinic like Central Wellness. According to WebMD, side effects are rare but can include redness, swelling, and bruising at the injection site.
You may experience some swelling and bruising as a natural reaction to the needle. Usually, it’s nothing more that makeup can’t cover up! To help prevent bruising, here are seven easy steps you can take:
- Always talk to your professional at Central Wellness about any concerns you have. Together, you can talk through your options.
- Avoid blood-thinning food and drinks before your treatment. For a list of these foods, check out this resource.
- Take supplements that help to treat the pain and any post-treatment bruising. In certain cases, these supplements should be taken a few days before treatment. According to facial plastic surgeon, Dr. Anil Shah, the best-known supplements to help prevent bruising are Arnica Montana and Bromelein.
- Eat pineapple both before and after a procedure. Why pineapple? It has helpful enzymes that can help to prevent bruising! (Who knew, right?)
- Get plenty of rest and stay hydrated after treatment.
- Stay elevated when you sleep to prevent any accidental rubbing or compressing of the skin around the treated area. Prop your head up with extra pillows.
- Avoid touching the area around the treatment site. Never massage the area around the treatment site unless your medical professional instructs otherwise.
If you’re prone to bruising, it may be best to sleep upright in a recliner or chair on the night directly after treatment.
Can you wear makeup after dermal fillers?
Absolutely! It is best, however, to start your appointment with a clean face. If you’re in the midst of a busy day and can’t remove makeup beforehand, we provide cleansing cloths.
In most cases, it is perfectly fine to apply makeup after your dermal filler treatment. As we mentioned before, we offer a complimentary makeup touch-up service after your treatment.

How long do dermal fillers last?
