Laser Skin Resurfacing
As we age, the effects of sun damage and environmental pollutants take their toll on our skin, causing it to wrinkle, develop sun spots and look tired. A skin resurfacing procedure can reverse these effects and restore a healthy look to the skin.
There are two approaches to resurfacing: full field, and fractional. In full field resurfacing, the entire surface area of the skin is treated. A laser beam is scanned across the treatment area and precisely removes a layer of skin. The body will naturally replace the old, damaged skin that was removed, with a fresh, healthy layer. Treatments can range from shallow (which might be appropriate for eliminating fine lines, sun spots and tired-looking skin) to deep (which is often used to improve skin tone/texture and eliminate deep wrinkles, even in difficult areas like upper lip lines and crow’s feet). In fractional resurfacing, the laser removes pinpoint columns of skin, leaving the surrounding tissue intact. This approach allows the laser to controllably ablate and coagulate tissue to variable depth, while the surrounding intact tissue promotes rapid healing.
Achieve younger looking skin with minimal downtime. Superficial resurfacing removes a thin layer of skin to improve:
- Fine lines
- Tone & texture
ProFractional Therapy – Fractional Resurfacing
ProFractional Therapy treats a fraction of the skin, stimulating new collagen growth and improving your skin’s:
- Tone & texture
- Fine lines
- Deep wrinkles
- Appearance of scars
Contour TRL – Deep Resurfacing
Contour TRL safely removes fine lines and deep wrinkles, including those pesky lines around the lips and eyes, with custom tailored treatments designed to achieve your desired outcome and expectations for downtime. This offers solutions for:
- Deep Wrinkles
Your skin in the treatment area is cleaned and your eyes are protected with safety shields. The physician positions the laser over the skin while a computer-guided scanner moves the laser beam in the designated treatment area. The procedure usually lasts 30 to 45 minutes depending on the size of the area being treated.
The level of comfort varies from patient to patient depending largely on the depth of treatment. For shallow treatments, the procedure is well tolerated with the use of a topical anesthetic. For deeper treatments, your physician may administer a local anesthetic.
Complete healing depends largely on the depth of treatment. Healing times for shallow treatments are typically 2-4 days. For deeper treatments, you should discuss realistic expectations for recovery with your physician.
You may be given skin care products and instructions on how to use them. Your skin will be sensitive to ultra-violet light after the procedure.
Avoid direct sun exposure until fully healed. Always use some level of sun protection to avoid sun damage and premature aging of your skin
The profractional was the best option for my large pores and acne scarring. My skin feels smooth and amazing and I can’t see the enlarged pores anymore! I am ready for another one!
I had the pro-fractional treatment done at Central Wellness and it made such a difference in my skin. It is now brighter in color and the texture is much smoother. I can noticeably see a difference in my fine lines around my eyes. I love it!
The profractional treatments have dramatically reduced my acne scarring. My skin is smoother, softer, and I feel more comfortable with my complexion. I’m so happy with the results! I highly recommend this treatment to anyone who wants better looking skin.
